"Helping
Equip the Whole Church to Share
the Whole Gospel with the Whole World"
How
"Soulwinning One to One" began
I have been teaching evangelism from the day I got saved, over twenty
years ago. Since then, my whole life changed!
Paul wrote,
"I pray that you may active in sharing your faith so that you will
have a full understanding of every good thing you have in Christ Jesus."
(Philemon 6) Week after week I had a revelation of so many of those "things"
(gifts) and the more I evangelized and discipled the more things or gifts
were revealed. Life became very exciting! But the most outstanding thing
I learned was that God has designed that every one of us believers should
become world changers.
We become
world changers by using the gifts that he gives us as we go. Firstly Jesus
gave us his own life, then He gave us His precious Holy Spirit, and then
the Gospel, which Paul describes as the power of God. And lastly He gave
us the command "Go preach the Gospel" (Mark 16:15) and "Make
disciples." (Mathew 28:19)
I had been sitting in churches for thirty-five of my forty-six years without
even having the peace and confidence of knowing that, had I died, I would
be in heaven. As I had never been encouraged to read the Bible, I certainly
was unaware that I was supposed to be "Light and salt in the earth,"
that I was called to preach the Gospel, and work out my own salvation
in fear and trembling. (Philippians 2:12)
I was thrilled teaching evangelism as I saw hundreds of lives transformed
through their response to hearing the Gospel and hundreds more transformed
as they were discipled and activated in evangelism themselves.
How about Miami Evangelistic Association? I was praying as I walked my,
almost daily, three miles and suddenly out of nowhere came the words "Miami
Evangelistic Association." I knew it was the Lord and over a period
of weeks formed the association.
Some months later
the Lord brought me together with a wonderful lady, Pat Cannon, who had
created and was teaching in a Christian School "Simply Jesus."
With her incredible creative giftings we made some changes and "Soulwinning
One to One" was created. So using these two seminars, plus bringing
together Pastors and believers, we are "Helping Equip the Whole Church
to Share the Whole Gospel with the Whole World."
However the
challenge is more than to share one’s faith on a daily basis, for
Jesus calls us to "Make disciples." So be challenged to share
the Gospel with as many as possible, then ask the Lord to show you which
one’s you are to have as your disciples, and then bring them to
the next ‘"Soulwinning One to One"" seminar in your
area, so that they too will be equipped to become fruitful for the glory
of God.
