Something really interesting happened at last Friday night's training meeting for Uganda. I really felt I needed to share it.
As Pat was sharing the Simply Jesus way to share the Gospel, it was as though something had come full circle from last year's
Mission conference. Since that 1/2 hour session I spent with her last year, I have shared the Gospel with everyone I have talked
to about Jesus in that simple way - regardless of what else I got the chance to share -( not the motions, but the motions are
how I learned it.) As Pat was sharing with the Uganda team I was overwhelmed by visions of all the faces of the people I have
shared with this year and how many people's lives were changed as they received Jesus. This scripture flooded my mind: Mr 10:15
-"Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it." I felt the
Lord was speaking to me that it was the power of HIS story that brings people to Him. I know we know that but I mean I REALLY
understood it. I don't mean to say it's a particular system or method, and I don't mean to exalt Pat, but I mean she's on to
something big in it's simplicity. It profoundly touched my life in respect to sharing Jesus with others. Anyway, I can't really
explain any of this in words and hopefully you are not writing me off as a nut, but it was profound and I know God wants me to
learn from Pat and teach others so I have spoken to her about training with her when I get back from Africa and although my flesh
would never choose to be in front a any crowd, I clearly heard God's voice. Maybe I will simply share it one-on-one. Anyway, I
prayed all weekend about sharing this with someone and I felt I needed to share it with you guys. Thanks for listening! God is
so interesting, isn't He? | |
